Hey, I’m Lester. I create traditional, large-scale Japanese tattoos in Louisville, KY, traditionally known as “horimono”. Currently, I offer large-scale projects by appointment and take small walk-ins on Wednesdays and Thursdays at Neon Moon in Germantown. I have over 20 years of experience and have spent the last 15 years studying and learning Japanese tattooing.

I apprenticed under Mister Powell at Almost Famous in Miami and worked at world-famous shops including Inksmith & Rogers in Jacksonville, and Anette Larue’s Electric Ladyland in New Orleans. After New Orleans, I worked at Anette Larue’s and Steve Tiberi’s Electromagnetic in VA and finally settled in Louisville, KY at the Neon Moon. I’m passionate about creating historically accurate, traditional Japanese tattoos.
